They were the first democracy.

Since there were lots of mountains, the communities developed independantly, so they were diverse. Because of this, they fought alot.

3. How did Hellenistic ideas spread throughout Asia?
Alexander the Great spread the ideas throughout his empire (which included Asia).

4. Describe an example of how necessity brings about technological change?
Because they were between the ocean and the sea, they developed a great navy for trading and fighting.

5. Define Monarchy.
When a place is ruled by a King or Queen.

6. Define Oligarchy.
A government ruled by a few people.
